 SALEM | THE GRUDGE Salem is an unusual man. It was a fortunate accident that had him discover that his body is not like any other -- he can split his skin off like a neatly compartmentalized domino piece without a single drop of blood. It can be left there to remain harmless, but once Salem dies, his body and memories regrow into that piece of skin left behind. He has found a path to immortality, in a way, as long as he plays his cards right. His world allowed a select few to travel through different realities; it was upon the return from one of his travels that he found nothing left of everything he had ever known. Upon some investigation he discovered that it had been the work of a single agent and has been trying to track Payton down ever since, leaving a piece of his skin behind to make sure he doesn't die, should he land in the wrong world at the wrong time. |
